Man, I was playing Control. My poor laptop was already at its limit rendering the damn game at Medium graphics. But added to that, I was streaming to my buddies.

There’s this one level where we are in one of those dreamlike places and I was supposed to jump to climb a slightly out of reach rock. My laptop, bless it’s soul, could barely chug along at 10-15 fps. I kept missing the rock and falling down into the abyss. After almost 30mins of this, I legit rage quit and played Papers Please 😭.

Turns out, my laptop’s vents were clogged by cat fur (thanks Lisa, my furry baby) and the thermal paste was worse than death valley 💀.

Finished the game a week later. Felt SO GOOD 🤌🏼.

While I haven’t played Halo, I feel you on being stuck on the same level for ages 😭

If you learn to code, you learn that major bugs in releases are horrible and indicative of neglect.
